Hettie and Tony Nutt

Tony and Hettie are the Youth Sunday School teachers. We appreciate the hard work they both put into our church. It is such a blessings to have them in our church family. I hope you enjoy getting to know them a little better.

Hettie: spend time with family, hunt or fish

4. What is one thing you would like to the members of TBC to know about you?

That we want to serve the Lord! We love our church family and it means so much to us that we have always been treated like family (from day one).

That we seek the Lord's will for our lives.

The Crane's are a great addition to our church family. We are so thankful for them. They have been a blessing. May God continue to bless each of you.

Didi: hang out with the family

Didi: That I am thankful God led us here with all of you
Tim: I am glad to be a emmber of this church
Cristian: That I like this church and would like to be here, and that I'm learning more.

Didi: that I may step aside and let God have control

Tim: to have a closer walk with God

 The Tracy Brown family are new to our church. Tracy runs the sound system when we need him. Mechelle sings in "New Reason." Maggie is a member of our youth. We are so pleased to have you with us.

Mechelle: Philippians 4:6-7
Maggie: Philippians 4:13
Tracy: John 3:16-17

3. If you did not have chores or work responsibilities to do, what would you do on a Saturday?
Mechelle: Spending time with family and singing
Maggie: go swimming with friends and family; go to the lake
Tracy: If we aren't singing at another church, piddeling on a vehicle or fishing for bass.

4. What is one thing you would like to the members of TBC to know about you?
Mechelle: That I love them all and am proud to be a part of their family.
Maggie: I am happy to be part of their family and I love them all.
Tracy: I think everybody knows me pretty well.

5. How can we pray for you?

Mechelle: Pray that my family would be dedicated to the Lord's work and that New Reason would be used in a great way.
Maggie: Pray that I grow to be a strong, confident child of God.
Tracy: that God will continue to bless my family and myself.

Members Monday is back! 

Today's family is The Axsom Family

Brayden, Sam, Brynton, and Keith

Sam does so many things in our church. She is our secretary, she sings, co-director of Vacation Bible School, and she turns the words and pages for the big screen during the service on Sundays. Keith runs the sound for our worship service. Brayden and Brynton hang out with their Mimi and Poppa during service when they are not in the nursery for children's church. We appreciate everything Keith and Sam do for us without them we could not run worship service so smoothly. Thank you for all you do.

1. When did you become a member of Temple Baptist Church? 

Sam: I have been apart of this church my entire life. I was saved and baptized in 1994. I left for a short time when we first got married, but came back in 2005.

Keith: 2005

2. What is your favorite Bible verse?

Sam: Philippians 4:13

Keith: I don't have a particular favorite

3. If you did not have chores or work responsibilities to do, what would you do on a Saturday?

Sam: play with my kids, shop!

Keith: hunt, fish, work in garden

4. What is one thing you would like to the members of TBC to know about you?

Sam: I love each of you and am so glad to be a part of this family.

Keith: I love you all.

5. How can we pray for you?

Pray that we will be the Christian parents and example to our children that our parents have been for us.

Dennis and Jean Morgan

This week we are getting to know Mr. Dennis and Mrs. Jean a little better. Mr. Dennis is a deacon and usher. Mrs. Jean plays the keyboard, leads the music for AWANA clubs, and sings for us. Mr. Dennis and Mrs. Jean do so much for us in the church. It is sure of blessing to have them in our church. We love you!

New Reason

Over the next 10 days, I want to share with you the videos from Sunday night's service at TBC. We had a special service called "Why I love my church?" We had several individuals sing songs and also had several groups there to sing as well. We had a wonderful time worshiping the Lord and great fellowship. I need to apologize in advance for the videos being shaky. I held the camera while taping, also you may hear me crying while recording a couple songs. I so wanted to sing along to some of the songs but I quickly remembered that I was recording and didn't. [If you have ever heard me sing, you can thank me later! (:]

The Ronnie Garlington Family: Kay, Ronnie, and Lindsey

This week we are honored to have the Ronnie Garlington family as our featured members. Kay plays the organ for us every week. Ronnie is an usher and sings in our choir. Lindsey sings in our choir. Youth Building Update

Just a short update on the Youth Building fundraising. It was reported Sunday at church that over $2,400 was deposited into the Youth fund. We want to say thank you to EVERYONE who has helped with raising the money. Whether you sold tickets, bought a dinner, helped cook the food, delivered on Friday, or just donated money or time; THANK YOU SO MUCH! God is going to reach many Youth in our community through this ministry.


Work continues on the building Thanks to Mr. Donnie Peters and Mr. Rodney Russell for all of their long hours they have put into this building. We appreciate your hard work! God Bless y'all!!!

The Smead Family: Jenny, Ross, Captain

Jenny teaches the Sparks in AWANA clubs on Wednesday nights. Captain plays guitar, helps with the Youth, and sings in the group New Reason,. Ross is in the Sparks class in AWANA clubs. We enjoy having this family being apart of our church and each one of them has been a blessing to us. Thanks for all your hard work!! We Love y'all!!!

When did you become a member of Temple Baptist Church?  

Jenny: I have went to this church my entire life, but I actually was saved and became a member in July of 1995. Captain and I left for a short period of time to go to Mt. Lebanon where we were in charge of the Youth. We came back to Temple in the Fall of 2000. 

Captain: I think I was about 17 years old. I became a member and moved to Mt. Lebanon and then came back a little over 10 1/2 years ago.

What is your favorite Bible verse?

Jenny: Philippians 4:13

Captain: I John 1:9

If you did not have chores or work responsibilities to do, what would you do on a Saturday?

Jenny: I like to just curl up on the couch and watch a good movie. Now if it is football season all you'll catch me watching is football (all day). 

Captain: I enjoy hunting, fishing, hanging out with Ross and singing gospel music.

Ross: He lives to play sports (whatever is in season). He also likes to hang out with his dad.

What is one thing you would like the members of Temple Baptist Church to know about you?

Jenny & Captain: We want them to know we love them very much. We want them to know they can call anytime and we will do what we can for them.

How can we pray for you?

Captain: I feel prayers from my church family with the support they show towards my ministry of singing.
