"Why are ye so fearful?"

While reading in my quiet time, I read how Jesus calmed the storm when He and the disciples were in the boat out in the middle of the sea. In Mark 4: 39-40 (KJV) says "And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?"

That's what I tend to want to do all the time, I want to worry about everything. But, I am learning everyday to just hand over my problems, worries, fear, and other troubles to God. He is a big God and can handle anything we give Him. So, my question for you today is what Jesus asked His disciples "Why are ye so fearful?" Give God your burdens, He does not want you to carry them. He is willing and able to take those burdens off you; but, you have to be willing to hand them over.

Lord,
My prayer today is that I give you my burdens and let you take care of them all. With so much on my mind, I can not do it all, I need your help. So, Lord, I giving you my burdens and letting you take control over this situation. I pray for those who are reading this right now Lord, if they have the same decisions to make Lord, I pray they just surrender their burdens to you Lord. Thank you for this day Lord, for the blessings you have given me. In Jesus name, Amen.

This will be a fun way to get to know our members if you are not a member of Temple. For those of us who are members, we get the opportunity to get to know each other better and pray for our church family. World Missions, Worship, Food, and Fellowship

I love Sundays; I get to go to church and worship my Lord. Today was World Missions day. We prayed for our missionaries and even heard from one missionary in Thailand via Skype. We had 16 visitors this morning for Sunday School and worship service. It was great having so many visitors in the Lord's house today, it was a blessing!

After the morning worship service, we met in the Life Center to enjoy some wonder food and fellowship together. We celebrated the February birthdays with a special birthday cake that Deanne R. made. Thank you Deanne, it looked and tasted great.

Above: Suellen posing, everyone waiting to get some food.

Above: We had quite a few people for lunch, so there was a long wait. While waiting, I got to hear a story about someone who thought a Zebra was a Giraffe.  I'm not naming names, but you know who you are.

It was a great day to be in the Lord's house! I would like to end this post in a prayer.

Lord, Thank you for this church and the family I have inside of it. Thank you for another opportunity to worship you. Lord, You are working at Temple and it is my prayer that you will continue to use each and every person in our church for your will. Thank you for your many blessings Lord. I pray for protection over our members this week, that you will use us how you see fit. In your Precious name Amen!
